I think that, I don't have a good level of listening and pronunciation but I want to improve. My weaknesses as foreign Language learner are in speaking because I don´t practice so much and there are some English sounds difficult for me. Moreover usually I forget the structure of sentences in moment to speak because of I feel very nervous. On the other hand on listening is difficult to understand several words.
Writing is a little easy for me because it simple to practice but I would not say that is my strength. It does not need much help. On the other hand reading is not as easy but I try to practice.
To improve these weaknesses I should practice more speaking, read books without dictionary to understand through to related words and phrases, watch movies with subtitles, listen and watch videos with different speakers to differentiate some accents. Sum up I should be more dedicated and disciplined in learning a foreign language.

Hi everybody. My name is Yohan Tiria , sometimes is difficult for me the listening comprehension , when I listen videos, songs , movies, dialogues is difficult for me to understand every single word the speaker says and I can not differentiate the different types of accents; that's why this aspect is my main weakness. In addition I need to learn more vocabulary because of the importance it has when I want to express my ideas or to explain something, however I think I can work on this topic easier than on the other one.

To sump up, I must to spend more time to my english learning in order to improve my weaknesses, I should watch movies in english and with english subtitles, in this manner I improve my listening comprehension and I learn vocabulary at the same time.

Hello, my name is Yuly Paola Gonzalez. Is important to establish the strengths and weakness that it’s can ease or hinder the learning of FL, because of this I think that my weakness are writing, speaking and listening. Sometimes is difficult for me listening comprehension when I watch movies or when I listen to music; On the other hand when I write is difficult for me order the ideas; When I try speak in English I think in Spanish for this reason is difficult for me to speak, also y don’t know enough vocabulary, in addition I am very insecure. I think that my strengths is that I am not shy and to improve I must be applied and practice enough. Thanks
ReplyDeleteI start with my problem in memorize new words, is something that always happens to me when I try to speak or write, is common on me that problem, is because of I don’t try to learn every word that I know while study this language, however I consider my strength some parts of the grammar, but not all, remember that I had a mistake in class.
ReplyDeleteIn addition, another problem is the vocabulary and its pronunciation, every day I know more words in English and I don´t know how to pronounce it, on the other hand I consider that I have a good pronunciation in some words (another strength), but not always do well, especially if is in class.
Something that I consider a skill is the listening, I try to speak with people through chatroulette and I understand what they say, but there are times when I do not understand like when I listen to songs in English or when put the listening activities in class.
To sum up, I have problems in almost all the skills to dominate a language but if I make an effort and practice all these skills sure I learn better.
Hi everybody. My name is Anti Lizbeth Bohada. Sometimes is difficult for me writing and speaking in English. When I try to speak in English in front of others, I usually feel nervous and I start using buzzwords like "ammm or ehhh”. Sometimes, this makes me forget the things that I’m saying and blocking me in order to continue speaking. Furthermore, I need to learn more vocabulary because it is important at the moment of expressing my ideas or explaining something. About writing, sometimes I don’t write following the structure of the sentence. One of my strengths is listening and memorizing vocabulary.
ReplyDeleteOn the other hand, as a student of foreign languages, I try to improve these aspects. I must spend more time studying and learning English in order to strengthen my weaknesses. When I don’t understand I use strategies such as to investigate by myself or asking for help to my classmates. Furthermore I attend to the tutorials offered by the university and I try to review what I saw in class.

ReplyDeleteWhen we learn a foreign language, we are going to find many difficulties but also abilities to can understand it and learn it of way more easy. First, I have to be clear which are the difficulties that I have to dig a little bit.
I think, my difficulties are I cannot understand some words that speakers says, maybe when I talk with him or just listening, on the other hand when I talk with someone else I can to improve my listening comprehension and speaking. My abilities are that I have discipline, I take the time to learn it and I have a great memory.
To improve I have to associate more with the listening, reading, speaking and writing through videos, films with or without subtitles, read books because of I learn more vocabulary in addition I improve my comprehension, to write short sentences then go writing paragraphs and longer texts, those are the another ways to improve.
To sum up, I think that a foreign language it is no difficult to learn, the effort and dedication of each one is the only that reflects whether it is or not.

ReplyDeleteMy name is Andrea Carolina Casas Avila, based on my own knowledge about myself, I start to tell you the strengths that I think I have as foreign languages learner:
I like the foreign languages, I admire the different cultures, and is so interesting for me to learn other languages, sometimes I have problems with the pronunciation of some words and with the fluency when I speak in English , but is easier for me to try to read short tales in english in order to learn more vocabulary and try to understand the sense of the story.
I'm disciplined: I organize my time and the things that i have to do in order to fulfill my duties.
I love to read: Is very interesting for me to read, specially literature, and I think is a good activity for improve the vocabulary, the reading comprehension and maybe find new expressions of the foreign lenguage.
On the other hand I also recognize that I have weaknesses:
I'm so shy: Is very difficult for me speak and act when I'm in public, I feel so nervous and I forget some things.
In order to improve my language learning I must try to listen more songs in English, read more in this language, practice the speech with my classmates, watch movies in English, clear my hesitates about the lenguage and try to practice the writing.

ReplyDeleteI am Juliet and in my personal opinión, everyone has weakness, as also has skills, but in my case as a learner of a foreign language, I have many weaknesses.
I am a person very shy and this is it a difficult for me, and when we are in a exposition I become very nervous and because of this when i want to talk, i cant say what I think.
well also I have many problems about listening, I can comprise certain things but others that I don't understand.in addition sometimes I know what to say in the case of a question in class, but on other hand, I am not sure to talk.
my strengths I think that I know grammar, and on the other hand, when I am in class and i don't understand something, I try to take it as a task. sometimes I practice to write, and to sum up I know that my problems are: my listening and my nervous, but in the other hand, for change this I need to practice, to believe in myself, to learn vocabulary, and practice and practice.

ReplyDeleteI want to start with my weaknesses. I have difficulty to speak fluently, I know what I want to say but sometimes when I speak I do it slowly and interrupted. I have also difficulty with the coherence when I write long texts.
On the other hand my strengths are mainly listening and pronunciation. I like to watch movies and TV series since I was ten years old, so I can understand conversations and songs mostly. In addition if someone has good comprehension can distinguish between good and bad pronunciation so these are my strengths.
To overcome my weaknesses I think I can practice the fluency improvising talking with my friends and classmates, also I can sing a lot of songs with a wide vocabulary. That help me with my fluency and my accent and take advantage of my good pronunciation.

ReplyDeleteI think that my difficulty learning English are I sometimes do not have the perseverance that needed to learn a second language, just as I have always had difficulty creating questions in English, and right now, I do not understand the passive voice also my strength is that I love English, and I like to watch a lot of TV in English.
I am currently trying to read English books, books that I like, I think this strategy is very good because I learn a lot of vocabulary, and review grammatical structures.
Finally, I hope to clarify many doubts in this class, and above implement the language, and I want to lose the fear of speaking, and I learn a lot.

ReplyDeleteI think that my weaknesses as foreign language learner are that I have certain problems of vocabulary, because when I have to write without the help of a dictionary or translator if I don´t know how to spell a word, I usually write the word as it pronounced. In order to improve my weaknesses, I watch movies and music videos with subtitles on English, and I try to write a summary of the movie or I try to write the letter of the song and then I look for the words that I'm not sure.
On the other hand, I think I have a good level of listening because when I hear a conversation or someone who speaks English I understand almost everything he says, in terms of fluency I'm a little shy and sometimes I can have clear what I want to say, but I get nervous and confuse me a bit.

My weakness are that this class Idont study a long time ago, the last class of third english was in 2011, I think the structure in english is verey difficulto to apply.
my strategies for improve my skills are : I try to speak with my friends in english every time, altough we are nervous in class, I listen to music in english and I try to watch a ,ovies in english too at moment I study englis with the helping of bbc in the web , there we can find ways for study the foreing laguage.

ReplyDeleteMy name is Andrea Jimenez I have a lot of abilities but I don't do everything perfectly, I have some weaknesses at the moment to comunicate in English. when I speak in English because I can do the other people understand me, but I have too a problem when I write in English because at the moment to listening to others when they speak to me; I have some troubles when I write because I don't have a complete comprehension about some topics like: comparative and superlative and when someone uses those topics I get lost in conversations. M y habilities are good but don't excelent, for this reason I need learn more of it.
Hi,Teachers and partners, my name is Juan Carlos, i think i have talent to learn the english language but i know i don't have developed all the necessary skills. In first place, i think i'm good talking with my partners. I have a good fluence, pronunciation, I know how handle different tenses, like simple present, continuous present, simple past, continuous past, future, the most modal verbs, I handle the conditionals in a good way. My main weakness is the listening native englis speakers, because sometimes it’s very hard to catch and to understand what they are saying. I hope to be better at the end of this course. On the other hand I think that my other weakness is my little ability to write some texts. In addition, I want to watch meny videos and to listen some recordings.
