Reporting a video!

Hi all!  

Hope you are doing well! Welcome to our fifth activity. Please, post your comments before Nobember 17th, 6 p.m.!


* Based on the video we watched in class and in the notes taken during the collaborative writing activity...


2. Write your own version of the story. Try to use a short tale's writing structure: introduction, body and conclusion (the moral from your classmate and your own one).

3. Write a paragraph for each one of the parts mentioned above, giving your own ideas to tell your version of the story. It must have 150 words at least, from 25 to 30 lines.

4. Prepare an oral report about it to be presented in the tutorial sessions (from November 18th to 20th), you just will have 2 1/2 minutes and it is expected you to say 45 sentences at least.

4. Language use / writing aspects:

- Simple sentence structures in the tenses you decide.
- Useful vocabulary you need to express your ideas.
- Grammar, spelling, punctuation rules, etc.

Creative writing assignment!

Hi all!  

Hope you are doing well! Welcome to our third activity. Please, post your comments before October 10th, 6 p.m.!


1. Go to the web link 
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SEukS2YN9B8 and watch the video (it was worked some classes ago).

2. Write your own version of the story. Try to use a short tale's writing structure: introduction, body and conclusion.

- Introduction: it usually offers something that changes / affects / motivates the characters of the story to overcome a situation.

- Body: it usually reveals how the characters move toward overcoming the situation.

- Conclusion: it has to do with facing one difficult choice and decides one correct option while working out of the situation.


3. Write a paragraph for each one of the parts mentioned above, giving your own ideas to tell your version of the story. It must have 250 words at least.

4. Prepare an oral report about it to be presented in the tutorial sessions (from October 13th to 17th), you just will have 2 1/2 minutes and it is expected you to say 45 sentences at least.

- Simple sentence structures in the tenses you decide (The ones worked in last classes).
- Useful vocabulary you need to express your ideas.
- Grammar, spelling, punctuation rules, etc.

Retelling a horror story! Using present and past.

Hi all!  

Hope you are doing well! Welcome to our third activity. Please, post your comments before September 10th, 2 p.m.!


1. Choose a tale of terror from the ones I left you in the copy center (C&P).


2. Summarize and rewrite a version of the tale with your own words, using PRESENT SIMPLE. (250 words at least). Then...

++ Take the version you wrote in PRESENT TENSE, and rewrite it into the PAST TENSE.

3. Include comments related to what you like the most or what you do not like about it.

4. Prepare an oral report about the tale to be presented in the tutorial sessions (from september 12th to 19th), you just will have 2 minutes and it is expected you to say 40 sentences at least.

- Present and past simple sentence structure.
- Useful vocabulary you need to express your ideas, "taken from the same tale".
- Grammar, spelling, punctuation rules, etc.

This is the best world's city for me!

Hi all!  

Hope you are doing well! Welcome to our second activity! In this, you will write about "The world's best city", using English language. Post your comments before August 25th, 8 p.m.


1. Follow the given instructions on page 73, practice activity 2, module 8 - Cutting Edge textbook.

* Imagine you are trying to persuade a foreign visitor that one of these places is "the world's best city, considering: a) a town/city you know well, b) your town/city.

2. Write a creative composition (50 sentences at least), considering all the proposed items in the mentioned activity (language focus) and the use of quantifiers with countable and uncountable nouns.


3. Language/writing aspects:


- Simple sentence structure: subject + verb + complement.
- Look for useful vocabulary you need.
- Before posting, check grammar, spelling, punctuation rules, etc.

4. Plan your first oral report (4 min, 50 sentences at least) about the selected town/city, to be presented on August 27th. You can use photos, slides, etc.
